NYES in Livingston
These photos provide a visual simulation of the work we plan to perform on an existing utility corridor and utility-owned property in Livingston.
In an 8.3-mile section, we will:
Remove 80-year-old lattice structures (148 total, in sets of two) as shown in the photo at left.
Remove three 115 kV transmission lines.
Install 84 new double circuit monopole structures, with an average height increase of 10 feet, carrying one existing 115 kV line and a new 345 kV line, as shown in the photo at right
These lines currently cross and will continue to cross: Bells Pond Road, Rt. 82, Estok Road, Schneider Road, Church Road, Lockwood Road, Scudderhook Road, Deer Haven Road, Black Bridge Road, Rt. 8 and White Oak Road.
Along the 2.2-mile Blue Stores Tap Line, we will:
Replace one group of existing H-frame structures with new ones that are five feet higher.
This line currently crosses and will continue to cross: Rt. 19, Rt. 8.
