These photos provide a visual simulation of the work we plan to perform on an existing utility corridor and utility-owned property in Claverack. We will:

  • Rebuild the existing Churchtown switching station on the same utility-owned property.

  • Remove 80-year-old lattice structures (69 total) along 7.3 miles of the route in Claverack. On 6.4 miles, these structures run in single file (See top left photo). On 0.9 miles, the structures sit in pairs (see bottom left photo).

  • Replace them with 70 new double circuit monopole structures, with an average height increase of 10 feet (see top right and bottom right photos). The new structures will carry one existing 115 kV line and a new 345 kV line.

These lines currently cross and will continue to cross: Stottville Road, Rt. 66, Fish & Game Road, Rt. 23B, Webb Road, Stone Mill Road, Schoolhouse Road and Orchard Road.
