NYES in the Town of Stuyvesant
These photos provide a visual simulation of the work we plan to perform on an existing utility corridor and utility-owned property in Stuyvesant. We will:
Remove 80-plus year old lattice structures (71 total) as shown in the photo at left.
Remove one 115 kV transmission line.
Install 60 new double circuit monopole structures (a net reduction of 11 structures), with an average height increase of 10 feet, carrying one existing 115 kV line and a new 345 kV line, as shown in the photo at right.
These lines currently cross and will continue to cross: Ridge Road, Hollow Road, Allendale Road, Pats Lane, Schoolhouse Road, Rt. 26-A and Rt. 46.
